Anna Jane Williamson

Mrs. Anna Jane Williamson, age 97, of Waycross, GA, answered her masters call on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 after an illness. 

She was born April 1, 1922 in Moultrie (Colquitt County), Georgia to the late John Carson and Lula Mae Jones Carson. She lived in Douglas, GA. for many years before moving to Waycross with her late husband, Calvin Williamson.

After moving to Waycross she joined New Hope Baptist Church. She worked as a presser for several dry cleaner in Waycross including Danford Dry Cleaner and Bivins Dry Cleaner. 

She was a warm and caring person who always care about the wells being of other. She was adored by many and had a sparkling smile that would make your darkest day disappear.

Those left to cherish her memory include a son; Antonio Hobbs of Waycross, sisters, Bessie Wells and Magaline Carson of Douglas, Ga.; grandchildren, Antonio D. Hobbs of Waycross, Antjuana Robertson of Augusta, GA., Dominique Hobbs, Kenshayla Hobbs and Caleb Hobbs of Jacksonville,FL; five great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial celebration of a life well lived will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 12 noon at New Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. 901 Ossie Davis Parkway, Waycross with the church pastor, Rev. Jackie Hooper Sr., bring words of comfort.
