Bennie Nell Collins, one of nine children, was born on November 28th, 1958 to Bennie Moore and Marietta Mosby Moore.
Bennie Nell was born and raised in Alma, Georgia, where she attended Lincoln High School. She later attended Central Texas College to earn a degree in Business Administration. While in college, she met and married her deceased husband John W. Collins, Jr who would go on to join the United States Army. Together two sons were born and raised, CW2 Ramos Duran Collins Sr and Darren Lamar Collins. They traveled the world as far as Germany and throughout the US from Kentucky, California, Louisiana, Texas, and eventually back to her home in Georgia over a span of 15 years.
She returned to Waycross, Georgia and devoted her life to raising her boys, which brought her great joy.
While she remained in Waycross, she dedicated her life to serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ beginning at The First Born Church of The Living God and later at Faith of God Holiness Church.
Bennie was preceded in death by her parents, brother Charlie “Bubba” Moore and sister Patricia Moore.
She leaves to cherish her memory of two sons, CW2 Ramos Duran Collins Sr (Chantee) of Fort Drum, NY and Darren Lamar Collins of Waycross, GA; five grandchildren: Imannuel Collins, Cydney Collins, Ramos Collins Jr, Kentrell Poindexter (Jasmine), Khayla Poindexter and Shyla Sweat; one great-grandchild: Khari Coates; two sisters, Mary Carr (Leroy) of Havana, FL and Marilyn Moore of Beaumont, TX; four brothers, George Faison Sr (Glenda) of Waycross, Ga, Elder Quintin Faison (Joni) of Lake Mary, FL, and Kenneth Faison (Annie) of Augusta, GA and Lonnie Moore of Beaumont, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and Church family.
A Celebration of Life Service for Ms. Bennie Collins will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Faith of God Holiness Church, 1509 R.L. McGee Dr. Bishop Larry Atkinson officiating.
Ms. Collins will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
Final and most sacred arrangements are entrusted to the professional care of Fluker Funeral Home, 985 Ossie Davis Parkway, Waycross, GA.
