Bishop Leon E. Carr, 68, of Waresboro, GA, passed away January 17, 2022. He was born on January 9,1954 to the late Willie B. Carr and Eldora Harris Carr.
For those who knew him, fishing was a passion of his. There are countless stories of good times with family and friends who shared their love, and depending on the day, their frustration with waiting on the fish to bite.
But greater than his passion for fishing, was his passion for reaching those who did not know his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He was the Pastor of Believers Walk of Faith since 2007. He compassionately loved his church family and always felt it as a privilege and joy to pastor the flock of the Lord.
Bishop Carr served his country in the United States Navy. He later met his wife Peggy Carr and they were married on July 20th many years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Carr; daughters, Tiera, Tia, Alexis and Michelle; sons, Fredrick and J.J; granddaughters, Jamari, Keirstin, Kristin and Tristin; great granddaughter, Genesis. A host of nieces, nephews and numerous sons and daughters in Christ.
Bishop Carr favorite sayings “You have no trouble; all you need is faith in God.”
Final and most sacred arrangements are entrusted to the professional care of Fluker Funeral Home, 985 Ossie Davis Pkwy, Waycross, GA.
