Dea. Ronald Cavalier Hill

Deacon Ronald C. Hill, age 65, of Waycross, GA, transitioned from this life on Monday afternoon, January 13, 2020 at St. Vincent's Medical Center Southside, Jacksonville, FL, after an illness.

He was born July 25, 1954 in Waycross, GA and was the oldest of four children born to Deacon McKinley Hill, Sr. (who preceded him in death) and Deaconess Willard W. Hill. 

Deacon Hill received his formal education from the Waycross Public School System and graduated from Waycross High School in 1973. Shortly following graduation, he was employed with CSX Railroad as an electrician.

Deacon Hill was a devoted church member. From childhood he attended The First Born Church of the Living God under the leadership of the late Sr. Bishop H.J. Echols and later under the leadership of his grandfather, Sr. Bishop Albert Hill, Sr.. In continuing his spiritual journey under the leadership of his uncle, Sr. Bishop Leonard Goode at Cathedral of Faith Ministry, Faith United Church of the Living God,Inc., Deacon Hill became the Chairman of the Trustee Deacon Board and served on the Finance Committee for many years. He also served as one of the church musicians.

Those left to cherish his memory include his devoted wife of forty two years, Shirley Taylor Hill; his daughter, Shironda; a grandson, Jace D. Talton; his mother Deaconess Willard W. Hill; siblings, Dr. Cynthia L. Hill, Beverly J. Hill and McKinley Hill Jr.; aunts, Uncles and an extra special paternal aunt, First Lady Dr. Martha H. Goode and aunt-in-law, Betty Curry other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life service  for Deacon Hill will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of Christ Written in Heaven 617 Blackwell Street, Waycross, GA where Bishop John Moss is pastor and Senior Bishop Leonard Goode will bring words of comfort. Public visitation will be held Friday at Fluker Funeral Home. 985 Ossie Davis Parkway, Waycross, GA, from 5 to 7 p.m. Friends are being received at the Hill's residence 1500 Quarterman Street and at the Hill's residence at 1408 Charles Street. Deacon Hill will lie in repose Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. to the hour of service. Internment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
