Deacon Freddie Lee Robertson Sr., affectionately known as “Nuddie”, was the fifth child born to Deacon Willie Robertson Sr. and Mrs. Julia Mae Morris-Robertson in Nicholls, GA January 4, 1946. Nuddie attended the Pierce county school for a short period of time. When the family moved to Waycross he and became employed at the Padgett Pontiac & Cadillac and R L Walker Chevrolet Company. Later in life he married Jeannette Faison to this union two children were born; Freddie Lee Jr. and Jeanita Robertson. He and Jeannette reared their children along with their older sibling Frederick Miller Robertson. They also reared their granddaughter De’Kira Robertson as their adopted daughter. Nuddie retired from Walker Jones after working 30 years (The Jones Company) in 2013 as a service technician.
As life got sweeter he enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and he became actively involved in the community. He was a community coach for the Ware County Recreation. He considered all of his players as winners. Nuddie was a model to many young people and helped encouraged others to be a make wise choices. Nuddie gave his life to the lord and joined The True House of Deliverance Holiness Church. He was so happy to serve faithfully under his niece and Pastor Juliette Bennett Howard. In 2019 he was ordained as deacon.
Nuddie was preceded in death by wife Jeannette and his daughter Jeanita.
He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories two sons; Frederick Miller Robertson (Sumoyia) and Freddie Robertson, Jr. and one adopted daughter/granddaughter De’Kira Robertson. Two siblings: Nathaniel (Maxine) Robertson Sr, and Annie Lois Jones; sister in law, Helen Wesley; Two brother in laws: Elijah Faison and Dwayne (Mary) Cassaway all of Waycross. Five grandchildren: Amori Robertson, Ja’Vonni Miller, Ja’Lonidi O’Hara, Kyla Keaton, Jayden Keaton. Caretaker and close family friend Ann Dora and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday November 13, 2021, 11:00 am at Faith Of God Holiness Church. Eulogy will be given by his niece Pastor Julia M. Howard. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery.
Final and most sacred arrangements are entrusted to the professional care of Fluker Funeral Home, 985 Ossie Davis Parkway, Waycross, Georgia.
