Deacon Jeffery Willie nelson Sr. was born September 221960 in Waycross, Georgia to Willie Z Beal Sr. and the late Maudine Staten.
He received his formal education from the Waycross Public School System and graduated from Waycross High School in 1979.
Heis he father of two wonderful l sons, Joey Nelson and Jeffery Nelson jr. H was the husband of Sabrena Mitchell Nelson for twenty-eight wonderful years.
Early in life he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was a faithfully member of Cathedral of Faith Ministries (Faith United Church of the Living God) in Waycross, Georgia under the leadership of Apostle Leonard Goode where he served as a deacon.
He was a very loving and kind man his congenial character won a place in the hearts of those privileged to have known him. He was a dedicated worker who worked and retired from Walmart Distribution Center in Douglas, Georgia with more than thirty years of service.
Deacon Nelson departed this life on Saturday February 12, 2022 after an illness. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by two uncles, Sammy Nelson and Robert Nelson; an aunt, Joann N. Hayes and a cousin, Valane Taylor.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Sabrene Mitchell Nelson of Waycross, Georgia; two sons, Joey Nelson Sr. (Krystal) of Blackshear and Jeffery Nelson Jr. (Amber) of Denver, Co.;:his father Willie Beal Jr. (Vera) of Cincinnati Oh.; seven grandchildren, Joey Nelson Jr. ,Jonah Nelson, Rhianna Daniel, Jeffery Nelson lll, Jeremiah Nelson, Jace Nelson and Noah Nelson; aunt, Maxine Nelson; a great cousin, Porche Morlene; father-in-law and mother- in – law, Deacon Nathaniel and Harriet Marie Mitchell of Waycross ; nieces, nephews, cousins other relative and friends.
A graveside service will be held Friday February 18,2022 at 3:00 p.m. in Oakland Cemetery, Waycross, Georgia with his pastor, Bishop Leonard Goode bring words of comfort.
Public visitation will be held Thursday February 17, 2022 at Fluker Funeral Home 985 Ossie Davis Parkway, Waycross, Georga.
