EBONY CHRISTINE (COUCH) STEELE

Mrs. Ebony Christine Steele-Couch was born June 19, 1980, in Poughkeepsie, New York to the late Harry Charles Steele and Georgietta Vaughn Steele. At a young age, Ebony, her Mom and her favorite dog Frank D. Steele moved back to Folkston to help take care of her grandparents. She grew up in Folkston, GA where she received her formal education. Ebony was a very outgoing person whose friendliness endeared her to everyone who had the privilege to know her. She loved to spend time attending her daughter’s various activities and spending time with her family. On Tuesday evening June 4, 2024, she departed this life after a brief illness. Those left to cherish her memory include two children Mahogany RosaEtta Christine Steele and Tara Tierra Vaughn Steele; Aunts, Sylvia Williams, Debra Gay (Virgil); Uncle, Wayne Harris; special cousins, Megan Hill, Leroy Washington (Cathy) and a host of cousins and friends, including the White Family and her good friend Joy Taylor.
