Edna Mae Nelson

Sister Edna Nelson was born April 25, 1937 in Glenmore (Ware County), Georgia to the late Christopher Nelson Sr. and Geronia Sheffield Nelson.

She was a lifelong resident of Waycross and Ware County. She received her formal education from the Waycross Public School System.

She was a very lovable and kind person. Her congenial character won a place in the hearts of those that was privilege to have known her.

On Sunday, March 15, 2020 she departed this life after an illness. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Simpson and four brothers, Donnell Nelson, Arthur Nelson, Christopher Nelson Je. and Harry Nelson.

Those left to cherish her memory include a sister, Zelds Stevenson of Midway, Ga.; two brothers, Herman Nelson of New York, N.Y. and William Nelson of Washington, D.C.; a devoted nieces and care giver, Janice Butler of Waycross; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
