Joyce Catherine Lynette (Barner) Anderson

Joyce Catherine Lynette Barner Anderson was born on April 1, 1958 in Waycross, Georgia, to Steve and Ruth  Barner.  At an early age the family moved to Jacksonville, Florida.  Joyce attended the public Schools of Duval County in Jacksonville, Florida. Joyce graduated from Paxon Senior High School in 1976.  She was united in holy matrimony to Earl Anderson, October 11, 1976.  Joyce worked for the Duval County School Cafeteria for seventeen years. 

Joyce passed away suddenly on November 10, 2020.  Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Ruth Barner and her brother Michael Barner. To cherish her memories, she is survived by two children; Valerie McClenton, Steven Barner and five grandchildren; Countess, Dakota, Steven Jr., Joi Amara and Amia Jai.  One sister Cathy (Victor) of Jacksonville,  Florida;  Aunts:  Evelyn Smithson of Waycross, Georgia,  Evelyn Tutt of Jacksonville, Florida,  Gwendolyn Jenkins of Jacksonville, Florida, Barbara (John) of Tallahassee,  Florida, Inez Linda Martin of Jacksonville,  Florida and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Ms. Anderson may be viewed Friday, November 20, 2020, at Carthage Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Graveside Funeral Services will be held 12:00 p.m., Sunday, November 22, 2020, at Barner Family Cemetery, in Waycross, Georgia, under the direction of Fluker Funeral Home.
