Mrs. Lillian Lautrell Reid Dandy, age 77, of Waycross, GA, departed this life on Sunday, February 23, 2020 in Glen Burnie, Maryland after an illness.
She was born July 25, 1942 in Waycross, Ga. to the late Deacon Samuel Reid and Deaconess Rosa Lee Rhyms Reid. She received her formal education from the Waycross Public School System and graduated from Center High School in 1961. She later attended Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Fl. before moving to California.
She lived in Richmond, VA for many years where she retired from The Virginia State Police Headquarters. After retiring she moved back to Waycross where she lived until her demise.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Johnson, three brothers: Ulysees Reid, Lelon Reid and Leon Reid.
Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Antonio Hall of Crofton, Maryland, Maryland and John Dandy lll of Glen Burnie Maryland; a sister Armetha Davis (Eugene) of Waycross; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held Friday, March 6, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist church with the church pastor, Rev. Johnny Arnold, will give words of comfort.
