Clarence Taylor was born on August 6, 1937, in Fairfax, Georgia, to the late Chummie Taylor and Idell Smith. He grew up with a strong sense of responsibility, leaving school in the ninth grade to help his family on the farm.
Clarence later found his lifelong career in the lumber mill industry. He worked faithfully for many years at Enterprise Sawmill and Hires Planning Mill, where he eventually became supervisor over the mill. His dedication, hard work, and leadership left a lasting impression on those who worked alongside him until his retirement.
Outside of work, Clarence enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He was happiest when he was near the water, spending his free time fishing. He was also a true baseball enthusiast and a devoted fan of the Atlanta Braves, cheering for his team through every season.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents Chummie Taylor and Idell Smith. His stepmother Johnnie Mae Taylor. One brother James Taylor, one sister Eva Dell Reaves.
Clarence will be remembered by his loving Children and Family. He leaves to cherish his memories 4 sons: Burnar (Pennie)Taylor, Billy (LaWanda) Taylor, Cyrus (Lashan) Taylor and Robbie Taylor; 3 Daughters: Othine (Trent) Holmes, Shannon (Omega) Whitehead and Otheria (Thomas) Brunner; One sister Cleo (Shirley) Price; 21 Grandchildren; 24 Great Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren; a special friend Aline Fay Shaw and a host of nieces, nephews, and sorrowing friends.
Please continue to keep the family in prayer during this difficult time.
