MR. EDDIE JAMES HILL

Mr. Eddie James Hill, 58, of Waycross, GA. entered eternal rest on March 18, 2023. He was born in Waycross, Georgia on April 6, 1964, to the late L.V. Hill, Sr. and Mary Lou Hill.

Eddie received his education from the Waycross Ware County School System in Waycross, GA. He was loved by many, especially his classmates from the Class of 1983, and his beloved teammates, the incomparable Bulldogs.  Eddie furthered his education at Edward Waters College and continued to dominate on the field and basketball court.

Eddie loved his family and devoted himself to spending quality time with all the children.  He’s known for his infectious smile, ability to make others laugh and being the life of the party.  There was never a dull moment with him around.

Eddie was an employee of Waycross Molded for several years.  He was a member of True Foundation Church of God in Waycross, Georgia.  He enjoyed interacting with the youth and encouraging them to make wise choices in life.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents L.V. Hill, Sr.(Father), and Mary Lou Hill(Mother). He leaves to cherish his memory one son, James Otero(Jessica) of Richmond, VA.; two daughters, Kwajalein Thomas(Will) and Malika Hill(Martin) of Waycross, GA.; three grandchildren, Janiah Otero and Jayde Otero of Richmond, VA.; Jabyo Barnes of Waycross, GA.; four sisters, Pastor Jeanette Finney(Bobby), of Waycross, GA., Wanda Daniels(Raymond) of Atlanta, GA., Janie Daniels and Sharon Daniels(Myron) of Waycross, GA.; two brothers, Tony Davis of Macon, GA. and L.V. Hill, Jr. of Waycross, GA.; one aunt, Louise Hill, of Waycross, GA.; one god daughter, Janiqua Johnson of Blackshear, GA.; two god sons, Jamarieo Barkley, Sr. of Waycross, GA., and Andrew Fluker, III of Alma, GA.; a devoted friend/nephew Andrew Fluker, Jr. of Waycross, GA., a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Church of Christ Written In Heaven, 617 Blackwell Street, Waycross, GA 31501. Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery, 905 Central Ave, Waycross, GA 31501 

Visitation will be held Friday, March 24, 2023, at Fluker Funeral Home Chapel from 6-8 pm.
