MR. JAMES TERIS YOUNG, JR.

James T. Young, Jr. was born on August 05, 1980, in Waycross, Ga to Charlene Brooks and James T. Young, Sr. He transitioned from earth to reward on Friday, February 03, 2023, at Kent County Memorial Hospital in West Warwick, Rhode Island. In addition to his father, James T. Young, Sr, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leroy and Isabella Dixon, Sr; paternal grandparents, Eddie and Ida Young, Sr. Yodi, as he was affectionately called, receive his formal education in the Ware County School System. He worked in different capacities throughout his life including V.C. Summers in South Carolina, then Standard Concrete in Savannah, GA. He was a part of the Local 846 in Georgia, and then transferred to the Local 3 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania before his untimely death.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Zakiyyah Y. Young (Mobile, AL), four beautiful daughters, Jamesia and Jakeema (Valdosta, GA), Jamaria and Jaliela (Waycross, Ga); two stepsons, KenJuan Penn and JayQuan Peen; a stepdaughter, Caliyah Jenkins (all of Mobile, AL); his mother, Charlene (Tony) Brooks (Savannah, Ga); a mother-n-law, Sandra Jenkins Penn; a father-n-law, Druell Peen Jr (Mobile, AL); one sister, Jutecia (Franklin Jr) Pinckney (Waycross, GA); a brother-n-law, Tavarish Penn; a sister-n- law, Ronechia Penn (both of Mobile, AL); a niece, Anecia Lawrence; a nephew, Franklin Pinckney III (both of Waycross, GA); Four Aunts, 6 uncles; and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.

The family are receiving visitors at the home of his sister Mrs. Jutecia Pinckney, 1916 Swamp Rd, Waycross, GA 31503.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, 11:00 am at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Wilkerson St., Waycross, GA. Please keep the Young family in prayer during this difficult time.
