Our beloved Barbara Waldon was a native of Coffee County and later moved to Ware County.
Mrs. Waldon was the wife of late Ernest Lee Waldon. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mozelle McDonald; her two sons, Ernest E. Waldon and Ernie T. Waldon; one daughter, Jennifer D. Waldon; a grandson, Jermaine Johnson; 5 brothers, Wilbert, Wesley, Lovett, John and Johnny McDonald; and one sister, Mae Vern Anderson.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memories, 5 children; Lynn Smith of Valdosta, Ga, Andrea (Bruce) Gordon of Jacksonville, Fl; Tanika Monteram, Ashley Waldon, Barbara Allen all of Miami, Fl. 3 brothers; Layman (Viki) McDonald of Milwaukee, Wi. Ronnie McDonald of South Carolina and Artha McDonald of Douglas, Ga. 2 brothers-in-law, Freddie Lee Granger and Freddie Granger Jr both of Waycross, Ga. She also leaves behind 27 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, in the Fluker Funeral Home Chapel, 985 Ossie Davis Pkwy., Waycross, GA 31501.
