Deacon William H. White was born October 23rd, 1937, in Charleston, S.C. to William Oree and Mary Lou White. After the passing of his mother, as a young child, he was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Sr. (Ethel) Taylor whom he loved dearly. He was educated in the Charlton County School Systems. He retired in 2006 from International Paper in Folkston, GA after 30+ years.
William accepted Christ into his life at an early age. Under the leadership of Bishop Henry Ross, he joined Jerusalem Holiness Church where he later became a deacon.
William married the late Naomi Jean White in September 1967.
On Friday, June 9th, 2023, he answered the call and departed his earthly home. He was proceeded in death by one daughter, Velda Nicholas, and four siblings Everlyn Green, Charlie Taylor, Carolyn Taylor Dais and Leonard Taylor.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons Nivelle White, Malcolm (Teea) Dasher, one daughter Alexandrea (Nathan) Brown, two brothers Benjamin Jenkins (Charleston, SC ), Leon Taylor (Charleston, SC ), two sister Dorothy Lawrence (Charleston, SC ), Shirley Nelson (Charleston, SC ). 8 granddaughters, 18 great grands, 4 great great grands, one God-son Bishop James Everett and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and sorrowing friends. Please keep the family in prayer during this difficult time.
Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 18, 2023, in the Jerusalem Holiness Church, Folkston, GA. Interment will follow in the Mt. Carmel Memorial Cemetery, Folkston, GA 31537
