MR. WILLIE ALBERT Newsome

Mr. Willie Albert (Dennard) Newsome Sr. was born on January 31, 1973, in Waycross, Georgia, to Mr. Willie Albert Dennard and Mrs. Willie Mae Newsome. He attended the public school system of Ware County, Georgia, and proudly graduated as a Waycross Bulldog from Waycross High School with the Class of 1993.

Willie was known for his humble and quiet spirit, always sharing his warm and loving smile. Raised as a teenager in Big Bethel Freewill Baptist Church he learned the love of the Lord. Later in life he was deeply committed to his faith and became a member of First Community Church located in Alma, GA.  As his life blossomed, he served faithfully and eventually moved his membership to    Living for Christ Ministries in Waycross, GA under the leadership of Pastor Nathaniel Scott. His love for God shaped the way he cared for his family and others.

A true outdoorsman, Willie found joy in fishing, football, and simply being outside. His happiest moments were spent with his family, and he was especially known as a devoted and caring father to his boys. His love for hamburgers became a lighthearted family joke, as he would happily enjoy them on any occasion, bringing laughter and joy to those around him.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Emma and Etoya Dennard and a loving Aunt who raised him Aunt Jannie Walker. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Michelle Newsome; beloved sons, Willie Newsome Jr., Waylen Newsome, and W’Royalty Newsome; his loving sisters who he always greeted as “My Beautiful Sister”; Angela Dennard, Rose Dennard (spouse Reggie O’Neal), Lakisha Dennard, Laura Dennard, and Janay Cooper; two cherished grandchildren; 16 nieces and nephews, with special love and recognition to his nephew Steffan. He also leaves behind his uncles, Alfred Newsome and Marion Newsome; his aunts, Annie Ruth Richardson and Dorothy Dennard; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
