MS. JAZLYN BRAXTON

Miss Jazlyn Lanick Braxton was born in Waycross, GA on April 16, 1985. She grew up between Folkston, GA and Perry, Fl ultimately graduating from Charlton County High School. 

Jazz was a devout mother who loved to sing and recorded a number of songs. 

Jazz’s love and legacy will be treasured by her two children, Savanna Blackshear and Sharron Gilyard; father of her children Maurice Gilyard; her two nieces that she was helping to raise, Stephanie Johnson and Khelanie Johnson; a first cousin that she was raising, Jakayla Green; a god son Kingston Braxton; her mother and step father, Stephanie and Jonathan Brown; her father Gregory Smith (Debra) of Austin, TX; brothers, Dominic Braxton (Tocera) and Henry Smith, Jr.; sisters, Sophia Collier, Jantavia Brown, Stormy Jenkins, Nikimi Smith and Carol Smith; Aunts, Artie Smith (Henry), Nanny Mitchell, Tina Leon, Calvien Braxton, Jarkess Nightingale, Anita Leon, Celesta Hamlette, Cathy Hamlette, Tracy Smith, Vatosha Lambert (J5), Kim Fate (Thump), Mary Taylor, Loretta Brown and Chiquita Anderson (Chris); uncles, Jarquess Nightingale, Antonio Nightingale, Anthony Grant (KeeKee), Rod Smith, Alton Golden, Jr. and Leonard Brown; great uncles, Robert Milton, John Braxton, Rufus Braxton and Joseph Battle; a host of nieces, nephews,  other extended family and friends.
