Sophronia Betina Smiley entered this world on May 22, 1964. She was born in Folkston Ga. to the late Mollie Frances Howell and late Clinton Hutchinson.
Sophronia was affectionately known as "Sugamama", she brought joy and laughter to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Sophronia's journey through life was marked by a love for God, her Children, and Family and reading books. She came to love reading the best book of them all, God Word the Bible. She would read this book and make changes in her life that would help her live her life according to his will, later in her adult life. She was a faithful member of “Whosoever Will Let Them Come Outreach Ministry, Since 2015.
Sophronia grew up in Maynor Heights, where She was reared by the late Marie and Dewey Gibbs.
She was educated in the public school system of Charlton County.
Professionally, she worked at the Ritz Carlton of Amelia Island, and Sunbridge Nursing Rehabilitation of Folkston, Ga.
She moved to Indiantown Fl. In 1987 where she would stay for 12 years. Then she would return back to Folkston Ga, where resided until her death.
Beyond her occupational pursuits, she was the life of the party! Her infectious laughter, jokes, and good humor created an atmosphere of joy wherever she went. As a lover of music and dancing. She also liked doing puzzles, watching the price right, Wheel of fortune, and Jeopardy.
On Tuesday, January 9, 2024, our beloved “Sugamama” departed this life.
She was preceded in death by her son Robert Lee Campbell jr.
