In realms beyond, where skies are ever clear, Do sunflowers in celestial gardens appear? With golden crowns, and faces bright, Basking freely in eternal light.
If sunflowers grow in heaven, do they dream Of earthly fields, and morning's gentle beam? Their seeds of hope, to the heavens sown, In sacred soils, where love is known.
Do angels pause their hymns to tend To each petal, every bend? With gentle hands, do they guide The stems towards the light, wide-eyed?
In heaven’s breeze, do they sway, Sharing whispers of the day? Do their roots, in holy ground, Absorb the peace that wraps around?
To those we’ve lost, do they gift A vibrant yellow, spirits to lift? A sign from above, so we believe, In the beauty we can't see, but conceive.
If sunflowers grow in heaven, let them be A bridge between my loved ones and me. In their bloom, I see faces dear, Smiling down, whispering, “We’re near.”
Summer Lashae Williams (43), entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. She was a native and resident of Waycross, Georgia.
Summer was a class of 2000 Ware County High School graduate. She attended Albany State University where she received her Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. She also received her Master's degree in Legal Services from Kaplan University. At Florida Coastal School of Law, she received her Juris Doctor of Law degree. So that is Dr. Williams! Summer was studying for her Bar exam to become an Attorney. She was employed as a legal assistant with Huron Law Group and recently licensed as a life agent for Primerica representing Team H2O out of Waycross.
She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt and friend. To know her is to love her. Summer's personality was larger than life itself. Her faith in God and love for her Lord and Savior was known to any and everyone she came into contact with. What she also let be known is how proud she was to be Amari's mother. She would often share that her baby was the best thing that God ever gave her.
Summer had such a giving heart, even in her times of need and struggle, she always put others first. She has created so many memorable moments for there to be stories to be shared for years to come. She leaves all of those precious memories to be cherished by all whom she has left behind. She will be forever missed.
Summer was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Williams Sr. She is survived by her mother, Robin Murphy of Waycross; her daughter, Amari Janel Williams of Waycross. Two brothers, Paul Hill and Arthur Williams II, both of Waycross. Five nephews, Marquis Hill, Saviyon Hill and Miles Hill of Stanford, CT, Satchel Hill of Tuskegee, AL.
