Missionary Bernice Williams Obituary

 

 Missionary Bernice Delois Williams life on this earth began June 22, 1945 in Waycross, Ga. She was the daughter of the late Walter L. Easton Sr. and Zina Easton Josey. She received her formal education from the Waycross Public School System and graduated from Center High School in 1966.

Missionary Williams was joined in holy matrimony to the late Bishop Leroy Williams Sr. on February 25, 1974. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior in 1975. In 1989 she and her husband started a ministry, The First Church of the Living God under the eadership of her fatherin-law and mother-in law, Bishop David and Mother Estelle Williams. In November of 2005 she became a member of Cathedral of Faith Church of the Living God in Waycross under the leadership of Senior Bishop Leonard Goode,D.D. She served faithfully on the Missionary Board.

On Friday July 24, 2020 in Atlanta, Ga. God called her to her heavenly home to rest from her labors here on earth. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Tommie Eaton,; brothers, Walter Eastor Jr., Willie Easton and alton Josey; a niece, Shandika Easton.

Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Demetric Gordon Williams of Stone Mountain, Ga. and Leroy Williams Jr. of Waycross; two daughters, Jackie Williams of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. and Charlene Williams of Waycross, Ga.; two brothers, Alvin Easton (mary) of Atlanta, Ga. and Jerell Josey (Daisey)of Waycross, Ga. ;a sister, Deborah Easton of Jacksonville, Fl.; two great aunts, Betty Easton of new York, N.Y. and Helen Nelson of Brunswick, Ga.; Gods-sons, Monteirio O’Hara, E.J. Chatman, Elijah Chatman and Kenyon Moody Jr. all  of Waycross, Ga.; God daughters, Shelia Outler (Craig) of Tifton, Ga. Nicole Lewis of Waycross, Ga.;  grandchildren, nieces, nephews cousins, other relative and sorrowing friends.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Church of God Written in Heaven 617 Blackwell Street where Bishop John Moses is pastor and Senor Bishop Leonard Goode,D.D. bring words of comfort. Visitation will be held Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Fluker Funeral Home 985 Ossie Davis Parkway, Waycross, Ga. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
