Mother Artester Davis Riley

Mother Artester Davis Riley, age 86,of Homerville (Clinch County), GA, transitioned to her heavenly home on Thursday, February 6, 2020 after an illness.

She was born May 8, 1933 in Kynesville, Fl. to the Late Robert Davis and Sarah Lee Williams Davis. She lived most of her life in Clinch County, Georgia.

Mother Riley was a longtime member of Antioch Baptist Church in Homerville where she served as church Mother. She was a life member of Goodman Chapter # 282 Order of The Easter Star in Homerville. She worked for over forty five years in the florist industry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Riley Sr.; nine children, Raymond Riley Jr., Robert Riley, Eddie Shaneal Joyner, Wendell Riley, Angeline Porter, Sally Kinlaw, Wydell Riley and Ruth Dean Washington; a brother Willie Charles Davis.

Those left to cherish her memory include four children:  Enthaline Davis of Homerville, Ga., ST Riley, Maddie Boddie both of LaGrange, Ga. and Eddie Joyner Jr. of Waycross, Ga.; twenty nine grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church 3105 Valdosta Highway, Homerville, Ga. with Rev. Jaylen Thomas bringing words of comfort.
