Mother Joyce Berry Sams

Mother Joyce Berry Sams of Waycross departed this life on Tuesday August 25, 2020 in Coffee Regional Medical Center, Douglas, Georgia after an illness.

She was a native of Tarboro (Camber County), Georgia. Her parents was the late Ceasar Berry and Willie Mae Pinckey Berry. She raised by her God parents, Jonas and Louise Sams in Waycross. she received her formal education from The Waycross Public School System and graduated from Center High School in 1959. 

Mother Sams was a longtime and faithfully member of Bethel A.M.E. Church was she held various positions. She was a former teacher with The Head Start Programs and was an employee of Fluker Funeral Home before retiring in 2018.

 A celebration of life service for Mother Sams will be held Sunday August 30, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. in Hazzard Hill Cemetery with Prophet Chris Williams, pastor of House Prayer & Victory, Waycross. Public visitation will be Friday from 12 noon to 4p.m. at Fluker Funeral Home 985 Ossie Davis Parkway, Waycross, Ga..
