Mr. Alfonsa Williams

 Mr. Alfonsa Williams was born in Campville (Alachua County), Florida on May 5, 1948 to the late George Williams Sr. and the late Georgia Lee Wilson Williams. He grew up in Homerville, Georgia where he received his formal education from the Homerville Public School System.

He joined Greater Morning Star Baptist Church in Homerville and worked in the timber industry for many years.

Alfonsa departed this life on Tuesday October 6, 2020 in South Georgia Medical Center after an illness. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Williams; a brother, Ralph Lee Gibson and a sister, Sylvia Williams.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Willie Lois Williams; two daughters, Delois Williams of Homerville, Ga. and Trina Williams of Valdosta, Ga.; two sons, Torrence Williams of Homerville, Ga. and Zedrick Collins (Jessica) of Valdosta, Ga.; twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild; five siblings, Jasper Williams of Valdosta, Ga., James Williams, George Williams Jr., Jimmy Lee Williams, Patricia Ann Williams and Marie W. Thomas all of Homerville; six aunts; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends

A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2020 in Pine Forest Cemetery, Homerville, GA, with Rev. Randell McCrae, pastor of Greater Morning Star Baptist Church, will bring words of comfort.
