Mr. Ashley Paul Hamm Sr.

Ashley Paul Hamm Sr. was born October 15, 1949 in Waycross,Georgia. Born the fourth of five children to the late Thomas Hamm Sr. and Lillan Ashley Hamm. He received his formal education from the Waycross Public School System and graduated from Center High School in 1968.After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War. He finish his Army career serving in the Army Reserve Unite based out of Waycross, Georgia retiring at the rank of Staff Sergeant in 1995. He also retired from Champion Plywood Inc.

P Hamm, Uncle Paul and Pop , as he was affectionately called was joined in holy matrimony to the love of his life Diane Brunson Seays ion June 13, 1972. This union was blessed with three children, Anthony Monteze, Ashley Paul Jr. and Litesha Monique.

 For the past forty years, he has committed his life serving Christ as a faithful member of Community Holiness Church in Waycross, Georgia where he served on the Usher Board.

His caring attitude and love for others made it so easy to be around him. His love for outdoors is what gave him his “Green Thumb”. He loved his yard well manicured and his flowers well bloomed.

On Thursday August 6, 2020, Ashley Paul Hamm Sr. was called from his earthly home to his eternal home after a brief illness. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his oldest son, Anthony Monteze Seays Sr.; two siblings, Thomas Hamm jr. and Ruth Mae Hamm.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Ashley Paul Hamm Jr. (Leslie) of Byron, Ga. and Litesha Monique Hamm of Waycroos, Ga.; grandchildren, Meghan Rochelle Cooke, Dakayla Nicole Hamm, Janelle Diane Hamm, Jalynn Marie Hamm, Jada Oneisha Walker, Anthony Monteze Seays Jr., Kipper Semaj Taylor; great grandchildren, Elijah M’khai Hamm-Cooker, Ana Femi Hollie, Grayson Zahir Warner; sisters, Louise Hamm and Alwinter Hamm Thompson both of Waycross; nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
