Brother Chares Bernard Thornton was born April 4, 1964 in Homerville (Clinch County), Georgia to the late Oliver Thornton and Johnnie Lee Grady Thornton. He received his forlal education from the Clinch County Public School System.
He departed this life on Thrusday October 15, 2020 in Valdosta, Ga. after an illness. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Thornton.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Kevin Wells, BrianGrantt, Nicole Thornton, Charles McCoggle and Jemerius Davis; siblings, Ora Williams (George), Calvin Brand (Cheryl), Alvin Brand, Oliver Thornton Jr. (Theresa), Sammie Thornton (Darlene), Larry Thornton, Wendell Thornton (Jennifer) and Trevor Thornton (Sarah); fifteen grandchildren; nieces including two special, Temeka Campbell and Shemeka Johnson, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held Saturday October 24, 2020 AT 11:00 A.M. in Pine Forest Cemetery, Homerville with Rev. Jaylar Thomas bring words of comfort.
Friends are being received at the Williams residence 3164 Pearson Highway, Homerville, Ga. Public visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fluker Funeral Home 15 Robinson Street, Homerville Ga.
