Mr. Darnell Mincey

Mr. Darnell Mincey, age 66, of Argyle, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021. He was the oldest of six children, born Feb. 18, 1954 in Homerville, Georgia to the Late Wallace Mincey, Sr. and Bertha Dawson-Mincey. Darnell gained his education through the Clinch County School System, graduating in 1972. He was involved in many activities while in school with football being his favorite.  Darnell was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and played Bass guitar.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Mincey, Sr., his mother, Bertha Dawson-Mincey, a son: Eric Johnson, two brothers: Warren Mincey and Rev. Dr. Franklin D. Mincey, Sr., and a sister, Gloria J. Mincey.  Darnell leaves to cherish his memory one son: Dane Darnell Mincey of Valdosta, GA., one Sister: Rosa M. Mincey of Winston-Salem, NC, one brother: Wallace D. Mincey, II of Argyle, GA., two nieces: Tawalla D. Mincey and Shandora L. Mincey, both of Summerville, SC, two nephews: F. David Mincey, Jr. (Moneka) of Jesup, GA and Byron T. Mincey of Macon, GA, one great-nephew: Kareem D. Peart of Summerville, SC, two great-nieces: Mikayla Mincey and Melody Mincey, both of Jesup, GA, a loving and dedicated sister-in-law: Brenda C. Mincey of Argyle, GA and Ms.  Schenesia A. Barfield of Waycross, GA, two Aunts: Alice Mincey of Sacramento, CA and Lillie M. Mincey of Argyle, GA as well as a host of loving cousins, neighbors and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, February 20, 2021 in Pine Forest Cemetery, Homerville Georgia. 
Final and most sacred arrangements are entrusted to the professional care of Fluker Funeral Home, 15 Robinson St., Homerville, GA.
