Mr. George P. Thompson

Mr. George P. Thompson was born June 16, 1940 to he late Rev. Frank C. Thompson       and Wilhelmina McKenney Thompson in Perry (Taylor County), Florida.

He grew up in Waycross, Georgia where he received his formal education from the Waycross Public School System and graduated from Center High School in 1959. He favorite hobbies was playing checkers and playing pool and was good at them both.

He retired from Waycross College after twenty-two years of service receiving an honorary award for nineteen years of perfect attendants.  

 He departed this life on Wednesday January 27, 2021 at his residence after an illnesss.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Thompson Golden and Iona Thompson Thomas.

He is survived by thee sisters, Diane Williams, Linda Williams and Carolyn Thompson of Columbus, Georgia; two brothers, Nathaniel Williams and Jackie Lee Williams (Shirley) of Columbus, Georgia; a special niece Grace Wilson of Waycross, Georgia; other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relative; special friend, Eloise Simpson; a loving neighbor, Ms. Gena, other friends.
