Mr. Jeff Bernard Bly, Sr. was born May 8, 1936 in Fitzgerald, Georgia to the late Jeff Bly and Leathan Peacock Bly. He received his formal education from the public school system of Fitzgerald.
He moved to Waycross, Georgia at an early age and later became a member of New Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
He was a hard worker and was employed with Gillman Paper Mill in St. Marys, Georgia for many years before his retirement.
On Monday morning January 18, 2021 he departed this life in Memorial Satilla Health, Waycross after an illness.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ruth Ivery Bly; two brothers, Robert Bly and Nathaniel Bly.
Those left to cherish his memory include a son, Jeff Bly Jr. (Joyce) of Waycross; a host of nieces, nephews, Cousins, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held Friday, January 22, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. in Barnar Memorial Cemetery, Smith Road, Waycross, Georgia with Bishop Willie Frank Mobley giving words of comfort. Public visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Final and most sacred arrangements are entrusted to the professional care of Fluker Funeral Home, 985 Ossice Davis Parkway, Waycross, Georgia.
