Mr. Murad Muatabaya, known to many as Crawford Johnson Jr.
God saw you were getting weary, so He did what He thought was best; He came and stood beside you and whispered, “Come and Rest”. You gave no last farewell, not even a good-bye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why.
On Sunday, October 24, 2021, at 3:08 pm our Heavenly Father’s Angel visited Memorial Satilla Hospital and sealed the lips of our beloved father Murad Muatabaya.
He was born June 2, 1944, to the late Crawford D. Johnson, Sr. (Marie Johnson) and the late Clementine Norton. He served in the US Army where he served two tours in the Vietnam War. After serving his country he became a truck driver and a licensed cosmetologist. Murad was preceded in death by a brother William “Lucky” Norton.
He leaves to cherish his memories four daughters DeEtta Johnson of MD, Joezett Johnson (Quentin Campbell), Karen Johnson and Katrina Fensler all of Darien, GA; stepdaughter, Wregina Carryl (Martin) of Hinesville, GA; a special God daughter, Jevita Cochran (Gary) of Brunswick, GA; two sisters, Clementine Norton of Atlanta, GA and Nancy Wilson of Los Vegas, NV; two brothers, James Norton, Jr (Priscilla) of Tampa, GL and Antonio Swinson (Pam) of Georgia; 11 grandchildren, Brittany Johnson, Briana Lee, Justin Carryl, Joezarriah Johnson, Bria Johnson, Janasia Johnson, Reggie Stevens, Jr., Jaeson Carryl, Kameron Johnson, Jazmin Carryl and Sheliayza Sallins; 4 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends. Special friends Mr. James Owens, Mr. Andrew Fluker, Sr., Mr. Nick Fluker, Jr., Mr. Wilbert Muhammad and The Nursing Home Kings.
