Terry D. Hampton was born June 3, 1966, in Waycross, GA. to, George Hampton and Martha M. Hampton-Hall. He attended Waycross public schools, and was a graduate of Waycross High School, class of 1984. He attended The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He also lived in Canada and Panama City, FL.
He was well known in Waycross, GA. for his great talent in drawing and “Putting On The Hits” impersonating the well-known singer, “Prince”. He was affectionately called “Coo” by his many friends.
In his younger years, he was a member of Church of Christ Written In Heaven, Waycross, GA., under the pastorship of the late Senor Bishop, Calvin Poller. In his later years, he attended New You Ministries of Life, Inc. Waycross, GA. Under the pastorship of his mother, Dr. Martha M. Hall.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Hampton, and his stepfather, Deacon Batten Hall, Jr.
He leaves to cherish precious memories, his beloved mother: Dr. Martha M. Hall, of Waycross, GA.; two brothers: Michael Hampton (Jackie) of Dothan, Alabama., William Andre Powe (Ultra) of Dallas, Texas. Three sisters: Sarah V. Morris and Linda K. Causey of Waycross, GA., and Mary W. Peterson of Lakeland, Florida. Three aunts: Evelyn Hardy and Joyce Forward of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Clara J. Thrash of Panama City, Florida, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
His adopted brothers: Ansel and David Fulmore. special nieces: Tonya R. Cobb, and Phyllisia “Fee” Causey. special cousins: Fred Hardy, Kevin Hardy, Kaye Frances Lafitte, Wyvonnie Forward and Shawn Taylor. Special friends: Dwight and Pamela Simmons, Clarence Williams – Michael Scarola.
A Private Graveside Memorial will be held for Terry in Waycross, GA on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. The service will be Live Streamed on Fluker Funeral Home Facebook page. Flowers of remembrance are welcomed for the service.
