Sis. Cheryl Cobb Collins was born on December 7,1948 in Waycross, Georgia to the late Gus and Evelyn Cobb. She is preceded in death by her husband Everett Collins.
At an early age Cheryl accepted Christ as her Savior and became a member of Antioch First Baptist Church. She attended the public schools of Waycross, Georgia and graduated from Center High School in 1966. She continued her education at Stillman College in Tusacaloosa, Alabama. She was employed with Brunswick Job Corps Center as a counselor and mentored and molded young men and women for many years.
She was so sweet to everyone she met and her life was filled with love and joy for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her close friends, shopping, cooking, traveling, talking on the phone, and the love of her church family.
Cheryl will certainly be missed by all. She is survived by her daughter Francesca Harris Fishers, IN. Five sons; Sean Collins, Jonathan Collins, Eric Collins (Michelle), Everett Michael Collins, and Wayne Collins all of Indianapolis, IN. One brother Wayne Ellis of Waycross, GA. Loving grandchildren; Shavonna Harris, William Darrell Smith, Tyler Collins, Tianna Collins, Mariah Collins. A great-granddaughter Aubrey J. Smith. Loving cousins Jackie Spencer, Arlene Pierce-Horn, Audrey Gunter all of New Jersey. Godson Mike Jones (Tess) of McCordsville, IN. Two devoted best friends Connie Allender and Roberta Jones. \A host of cousins, relatives, and many many friends.
A celebration of life service will be held Friday May 22, 2021 in Indianapolis, In. and a graveside service will be held in Hazzard Hill Cemetery, Waycross, Ga. at 2:00 p.m. Monday May 24, 2021 with Pastor William Simmons officiating. Public visitation will be Monday from 9 a.m. to noon at Fluker Funeral Home, 985 Ossie Davis Parkway, Waycross, GA.
