The family of Ms. Cleotis V. Weston "Cleo,"67, announces with great sorrow her passing on May 13, 2026, in Ellenwood, GA.
Ms. Cleo Weston was born on April 12, 1959, and transitioned to her heavenly home on May 13, 2026, following a brief illness. She was born to the late Caroline Robertson Dorris, and the love between mother and daughter was a special one. Their close bond was evident to all who knew them, as they shared a deep connection and a treasured companionship throughout the years.
Cleo was raised in Blackshear, Georgia, where she was known as a bright and spirited young lady. As life carried her forward, she made her way to Austin, Texas, where she graduated from A.N. McCallum High School in 1977. Though Blackshear was her birthplace, Austin always held a special place in her heart and remained the place she considered home.
She loved the Lord and was a devoted member of Big Bethel Free Will Baptist Church in Waycross, Georgia. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, and she was known as a true prayer warrior who took seriously the ministry of encouraging others. Whether through a kind word, a heartfelt prayer, or a simple gesture of care, Cleo found joy in lifting the spirits of those around her and making others feel loved.
Cleo had a big heart and a genuine love for people, especially young people and the elderly. Her compassion for others naturally carried over into the work she chose to do. Gifted in many areas, she built a career that reflected both her versatility and her desire to serve, working in cosmetology, phlebotomy, and as a certified nursing aide. Beyond her work, she loved to smile, laugh, and enjoy life. She embraced moments of joy and entertainment and was happiest when sharing laughter and good times with family and friends.
Cleo was preceded in death by her loving mother, Caroline Dorris, and her grandparents, Willie and Beulah Robertson.
She leaves to cherish her memory her uncle, Horace Robertson; her uncle-brother, Gervin Robertson (Dianne); her first cousins, Carol, DeAndrea, Dell, Willie James, Horace Jr., Beulah, Tonya, and Carlton; and a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 11am at Shiloh Cemetery in Blackshear, GA with Rev. Alonzo Scott officiating. Visitation and public viewing will be held Saturday, May 23 @ 10:30am – 11am preceding the service at Shiloh Cemetery. Repast will follow at Piney Grove Church Annex, Blackshear GA.
Please keep the family in prayer during this difficult time.
