Sis. Dorothy Sharon Hardee was born March 28, 1945 in Homerville, Georgia to the late Willie R. Hardee Sr. and Alma Cooper Hardee.
She received her formal education from the Homerville Public School System and graduated from Homerville High and Elementary School. She later attended Albany State College,
She moved to Atlanta, Georgia at an early age and worked for IRS until her retirement. After retirement she relocated to Valdosta, Georgia where she lived until her demise.
Sis. Hardee departed this life on Monday July 26, 2021 after a brief illness. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five siblings, Curtis Hardee, Joel Hardee, Lester Hardee, JoAnn H. Rudolph and Claudette H. Epps.
Those left to cherish her memory include a brother, Willie Hardee Jr. (Doris Marie) of Homerville, Ga.; an aunt, Clander Jenkins (J.C.) of Jacksonville, Fl.; two sisters-in-law, Annie Hardee of Atlanta, Ga. and Jeanette Hardee of Valdosta, Ga.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday July 31, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in Pine Forest Cemetery Lakeview Road i, Homerville, Georgia with Rev. Jaylen Thomas officiating.
Final and most sacred arrangements are entrusted to the professional care of Fluker Funeral Home, 985 Ossie Davis Parkway, Waycross, GA.
