Ms. Joyce Willis

Ms. Joyce Willis was born March 3, 1949 in Waycross, Georgia to the late Arthur Lee Willis and Betty Edwards  Willis Wisenbaker. She received her formal education from the Waycross Public School System and graduated from Center High School in 1967. She furthered her education by attending Albany State College in Albany, Ga. and received a Bachelor’s Degree.

Joyce accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age and joined Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Waycross, Ga.

 She departed this life on Wednesday December 30, 2020 in southeast Medical Center, St. Marys, Ga. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Ethel Edwards, Hezikiah and Katherine Willis; her step father, Sam Wisenbaker; her brother, Burnell Willis; her sister, Martha Leaphart and a step sister, Sandra Owens.

Loved ones left to cherish her memory can be found in her loving brother, Gerald Willis (Juanita) of Waycross, Ga. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held Saturday January 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Hazzard Hill Cemetery, 907 Central Ave. Waycross, Ga. with Rev. Fer-Rell M. Malone Sr., pastor of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, bringing words of comfort.
Public visitation will be held Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Fluker Funeral Home, 985 Ossie Davis Parkway, Waycross, Georgia.
In accordance with with current Covid 19 protocols and the health and safety of all, masks and social distancing are required.
