Pastor Jessie Mae Gore Brooks was born on February 15, 1942, to Albert Gore and Ethel (Johnson) Gore in Haylow, Georgia. She was united in Holy Matrimony to James Brooks on April 9, 1988, in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Pastor Brooks later moved to DuPont, Georgia, where she founded Saved, Delivered, and Set Free ministry. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. A loving and virtuous woman best describes her, as well as a devoted woman of God.
She was preceded in death by her son, Alonzo Thomas.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband of 37 years, Elder James Brooks; her children: Debra Jean Thomas of Ormond Beach, Florida; Kenney Earl Thomas Sr. of DuPont, Georgia; Darrell Brown (Kristina) of Valdosta, Georgia; Thomas Brown (Kimberly) of Adel, Georgia; Tent Cooks (Gina) of Daytona Beach, Florida; and her sister, Ruby Jefferson. She also leaves a special daughter-in-love, Sentora Grisson Brown.
She further leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Please continue to keep the family in prayer during this difficult time.
