Sister Mary Fuller Bailey, affectionately known as Aive Smith was born on May 10, 1931 in Eastman (Dodge County), Georgia to the late Seid Fuller and Nillie Mae McGriff Fuller. She received her formal education from the Dodge County Public School System.
Early in life she moved to Brunswick, Georgia before relocating to Pearson, Georgia where she lived for many years before moving to Waycross, Georgia thirty eight years ago. She was a private care giver most of her life.
On Wednesday, February 10, 2021 God called her to her heavenly home after an illness. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Ulysee Bailey and James Smith; siblings, Sampson Fuller and Aretha Fuller.
Those left to cherish her memorial include her children; Shelando Canndy, Merciteen Smith, James Smith Jr., Her Smith, Gabriel Smith (Rosalind), Pastor Roger Smith (Ernestine) and Cargie Smith; twenty grand children, 20 great grand children; other relatives and friends.
A service will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Heavenly Bound Church of the Living God, 717 Garlington Ave., Waycross, Ga. with her son, Pastor Roger Smith, bringing words of comfort.
Public visitation will be held Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Fluker Funeral Home 985 Ossie Davis Parkway, Waycross, Georgia.
