Sylvester Jones

Mr. Sylvester Jones was born June 23, 1952 in Pine Apple (Wilcox County), Alabama to the late John Jones and Elnora Faint Jones Reeves.

He moved to  Cleveland, Ohio where he grew up and received his formal education from the public school system. After receiving his education he joined the United States Marine Corp and received an honorable discharge after an enlistment of four years.

In 2008 Sylvester moved to Waycross where he lived until his demise on Saturday march 14, 2020 after an illness.

In  addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Marilyn McCaskey and Donna Faye Jones Welch.

Those left to cherish him memory include two sisters, Glenda Posley (James) of Waycross, Ga. and Shelia Reeves (Anthony) of Homerville, Ga.; four brothers, Larry Reeves (Gail) of Homerville, Ga., Sylvester Reeves, Michael Reeves both of Waycross, Ga. and James Steele of Greenville, Al.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
