Ms. Vire Medlock Brinson was born on October 1, 1936 in Nicholls, Georgia to the late James Louis Medlock and Gussie Mae Medlock Lee.
She grew up in Waycross, Ga. where she attended public schools and graduated from Center High School and later attended St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, Fl.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons: Tommie Lee Vaughn Sr. and David Charles Brinson; a brother, Edward Calvin Medlock; a sister, Jesse Lee Barns; two grandsons, Tommie Vaughn Jr. and Gregory Lewis Shannon.
Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Gregory Lewis Vaughn; daughters, Marilyn D. Vaughn and Jasmine Janice Je'nay Brinson-Allison (Lawrence B. James); a brother Willie James Medlock; a host eleven grandchildren; thirty three great grandchildren; a host of great great grandchildren; three God daughters; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life service was held Saturday February 8, in St. Petersburg, Fl. and a celebration of life service will be held Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Mason Temple Church of God in Christ. 800 Daniel Street, Waycross, GA. Elder James Pharmes Sr. Will bring words of comfort. Interment will be in the Lee-Moore Cemetery.
